Easter Surprises

corropolesi Children have a habit of crashing their car into the walls of the bridges. It 'happened in the past (see post 8 December 2009), and it happened recently. A wall located at the entrance of Via Roma, shortly after the Madonna del Muraglione, was centered in the middle and down.
This time the wall, thanks to the work of the brothers Rotini, has been redone to perfection ... is more beautiful than the original.

The meeting was followed by the Municipality. Very valuable when compared with those made by the Province.
Below the photo of the wall of the rebuilt bridge in December 2009 Ente province.

The aesthetic impact is obvious. We had already expressed our disappointment in post on 8 December 2009.
We had denigrated the fact that the province had bothered to buy new bricks without thinking of recovering the old bricks that, at least, could be used in front of the wall.
What puzzles us today is to learn from people informed that the works in question have cost the same price.
The work carried out regardless of the province (of shorter extent) has cost as much as the other wall much longer and made with great care by the brothers Rotini that are not limited to the front, but have also extended their love to the back that only few have the chance to see (see photo below) .

When photographing the back of the wall, we realized that nearby there is a kind of slum, a rancho (as they say the Venezuelans). This "surprising and depressing" reality usually does not come to my attention as hidden by thick vegetation that covers everything for most of the year.
We avoid comments that arise spontaneously looking at the pictures.

As if that were not enough, looking towards the old walls of para Corropoli before us another vision of degradation.

Some may rightly argue, "They're building a palace, which deterioration is?"
In the photo above you can see the evident traces of a crane (which was taken away). The work of this building (of which there is only the skeleton) started in January 2006. More than four years ago. Jurassic era when compared to the speed with which the government has rebuilt L'Aquila.
The building is still there not only to deface the walls of history, but also to obstruct one of the busiest streets of the historic center.
